These terms and conditions are applicable for private consumers only.
The Laces Company is a Portuguese Brand. We are selling under Portuguese consumer law, including Distance Selling Regulations which means you're safe if you shop with us. We operate a flexible returns policy and are happy to refund / exchange items damaged in transit, that are faulty or not what you ordered. We strive to give excellent after sales service and customer care. Our terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Acceptance of Terms & Conditions
Use of the thelacescompany.com website is conditioned upon users acceptance of the Terms & Conditions contained here. All users of thelacescompany.com website hereby understand and agree that their use of this website constitutes acceptance of the Terms & Conditions set out below.
ORDERING & PAYMENT
The Laces Company prices includes VAT at the standard Portuguese rate of 23% for orders inside the EU. No tax and VAT will be added extra when receiving the goods.
Product Price Errors
We do our best to ensure that product prices on our website are up-to-date and correct but errors occur occasionally. Please contact us if you think there is a problem.
The Laces Company accepts Payment threw PayPal. You will be asked to fill in your details and other such as address. These details will be checked by us and we may hold an order if anything looks wrong or incorrect. Your payment will go through immediately once your order is placed, through our secure online payment facility.
Availability of Products
If a product is out of stock or if a product is unavailable either temporarily or permanently - we will let you know so that you can cancel your purchase or wait until the product is in stock. We will always try to keep you updated.
Standard delivery terms for all The Laces Company parts are according to availability. If your product is in stock, delivery will be up to 1-5 working days from the time that your order is placed.
We offer delivery all over Europe. Sometimes the shipment can be delayed by the delivery company CTT Expresso - EMS.
We will e-mail you a consignment or tracking number as soon as your order has been dispatched from our warehouse in Portugal. Please note that the products will be delivered during daytime. If you are not able to be home you must inform us of any special delivery instructions before we dispatch your goods!
You will be able to track you order on CTT Expresso - EMS. Unfortunately we are not able to track the delivery for you, all questions regarding your delivery should be directed to CTT Expresso - EMS. The CTT Expresso - EMS Support contact you will find at www.cttexpresso.pt if you have questions regarding your delivery. The Details you should use is the Tracking number you have provided from us. Please note that we cannot deliver to P.o Box.
WARRANTY & FAULTS
The Laces Company warrants each The Laces Company product against defects in workmanship and materials, for a period of one year for the original owner, from the date of purchase. Warranty will not be valid if you modify or change anything.
This warranty applies only to original owners and is not transferable. Claims under this warranty must be made directly to The Laces Company. Proof of purchase directly from The Laces Company is required. Defective on The Laces Company goods must be specified and photos e-mailed to email@example.com
The warranty does not cover; normal wear and tear. The warranty does not apply to damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect. The Laces Company shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages. The Laces Company is not paying for any labor cost for replacing the products.
This warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights and those rights may vary from place to place. This warranty does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer.
If a fault develops you must stop using the product immediately and contact us. We will determine if it's a warranty issue. Warranty only covers faults that develop during normal usage of the bicycle.
To protect you when buying at The Laces Company product we operate a flexible returns policy and are happy to refund / exchange items that are damaged in transit, faulty, not what you ordered or if you simply change your mind. If you order wrong size or color it will be replaces by that specific parts freight cost. Please check your correct reference/size by referring to our size guide on our website before ordering.
If you don’t like the component or have simply just changed your mind, you can always return it to us within 30 days from date of delivery date. We offer this service FREE OF CHARGE. The product should not be used, other than for a test fit only, and must be returned in its original packaging and packed in the same way as we sent it to you. We want our customers to be fully satisfied with our products! Please check our returns procedure below.
Always contact us before returning any goods. Products MUST always be returned by OUR courier if you want the service free of charge. Return the laces in its original packaging. Please ensure that the package is fully closed and secured with tape to enable the courier to handle it easily.
All items must be clean and complete – all products to be returned even if broken. Goods must be accompanied with a completed ‘RETURNS FORM’ – please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain this form. And you will also get the documents for return shipping.
Please Note! Products that have been used, other than for an initial test fit, cannot be returned and refunded!
If you wish to cancel the order before you have received your goods, all you have to do is NOT accept the goods upon delivery. We will then contact you to arrange a refund.
Any disputes shall be governed by and conducted in all respects in accordance with the laws of Portugal. We are selling under the Portuguese consumer law.
The Laces Company does not give your details to ANY third parties or organizations. We will have all your information just for shipping companies, and to contact you in case something goes wrong with our product or your order etc. We will handle this information confidentially in our company.
We only collect the information we may need to create a better shopping experience for you. The Laces Company does not sell or otherwise share your personal information with anyone else, such as advertising agencies or marketing companies. If you do not wish to receive our extraordinary e-mails from The Laces Company, just please e-mail email@example.com.
The Laces Company cannot take responsibility for any damages, compensatory, indirect, consequential or direct, data loss, income, profit, property loss or damage and third party claims implied or otherwise when using this website.
Information Accuracy (E&OE)
We cannot guarantee that colors appear the same in reality as in your computers screen. If you buy any products from us based on wrong information we will replace or refund the product so long as it is unused.
Changes to our Terms & Conditions will be posted on this page so you can always be confident of how we process your orders and information and what our terms are.
Notwithstanding any other provision set forth in these Terms & Conditions, The Laces Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in its performance due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, any act of war or civil insurrection, national emergencies, acts of God, fire, explosion, vandalism, storm, earthquake, flood, embargo, riot, sabotage, industry-wide supplier failures, unavailability of materials, rights of way of governmental acts; provided however that The Laces Company shall use its commercially reasonable efforts to correct such failure or delay in performance to the extent consistent with then applicable law and appropriate regulatory requirements in light of the existing circumstances.
